You may be eligible to deduct up to $5,000 ($10,000 for married couples filing jointly) from your 2017 Michigan State taxable income by contributing to the Michigan Education Savings Program, Michigan’s 529 college savings program before December 31st.* Contribution checks must be received by December 29th to meet the tax deadline. Contributions made Online or via the Phone prior to 4:00 p.m. (ET) on December 29th will also count towards the 2017 tax year.
